Wednesday Hodgepodge

I just love how my blog looks, so I feel the urge to post everyday! Don't worry, I'll save you from that. ;)

1.  ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?  The NFL is back in action along with all the college teams.  Are you a fan?  Who do you root for?  If you're not a fan what do you do while the rest of America watches Saturday, Sunday, Monday night, and now Thursday night games?

I'm not a football fan. I root for the Stealers {I don't even know how to spell their name . . . is it the Steelers?}, but silently, and mentally in my head. I don't even watch their games {I know, I sound like a sad little loser. I'm sorry}.

2. What's something I'll always find in your closet?

Clothes {;)}, shoes, and bed sheets / blankets.

3. Share one of your earliest memories.

Whenever is was one of my family member's birthday, my grandmother would bring us brown bags with little gifts in them, even if it wasn't our birthday. :) She stopped doing it now, but we have grown up, after all.

4. What circus act best describes your week so far?

Whatever the circus gymnasts do. Sadly, I've never been to a circus.

5. What's a food you disliked as a child but you love now?

Green beans and zucchini. I had Farmer's Market green beans this afternoon, and they were lovely. Surprisingly, they tasted like potatoes.

6.  Describe your summer in three words.

Lazy. Boring. Energetic {I did summer ballet}

7.  Where were you on September 11, 2001? Will you do anything special to mark the day this year?

I don't know. I was JUST born then. I was probably sleeping. Or eating. Or anything other babies do.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

I have decided I want to move to London, England, when I'm 21 {maybe older}. Okay, gals, I'm serious about this. I already have a plan to save all my money, put it in my bank account {as so I can't spend it on clothes, speaking about that, I bought a charming tea and cookie ring from Etsy today. I'll post about that when it arrives}, and then when I'm old enough go and live in the ''wild''! Doesn't it sound exciting?!

P.S. I sold my Rebecca AG doll yesterday! I shipped her today. Any time now I should have more AG listings up. :)

Hair Accessories DIYCYA

Are you wondering what DIYCYA means? Well, let me tell you! :) DIYCYA is Do It Yourself 'Cuz You're Awesome!

DIYCYA: HAIR ACCESSORIES

I love push-ups, and I always thought there was something I could use the bottom for. And so, here comes the DIYCYA!

 You will need:

A hot glue gun
scrap-book tape {optional}
flower or something to put on the push-up bottom
push-up bottom
Using your hot glue gun, put a small swirl of glue on your push-up bottom.
Put your flower on top and press.
I didn't just use only crochet flowers, I also used fabric flowers!
For this type of fabric flower, you will need:
Fabric petals
glue gun
scrap-book tape {optional}
push-up bottom
Place a small drop of glue on your push-up bottom, and press a petal on it. Place a small drop of glue on the petal, and press the next petal on it. If you are using different colored petals, use the next color.
Repeat until you have used the rest of your petals, or until you are done.

 They are almost done!
Using your scrap book tape, tape it around the sides of the push-up bottom.
If your scrap book tape is too big, like mine, you could cut it, or fold it over to the inside side.

This is what it looks like it my hair! You can't see the scrap-book tape, but it adds a nice touch. :)
If you do this, be sure to tell me, and add the link! :)
P.S. I might be interested in selling some AG dolls and clothes! Any suggestions for where to sell {EX: Amazon, Ebay...}, or tips? :)

Interview with Liz

Liz (from AmericanGirlFan) was so kind enough to let me interview her! Let's see how it went:
1. Why did you start American Girl Fan instead of still blogging on The Journey of 4 Dolls?
I started AmericanGirlFan instead of continuing my first blog, because my dad owned an account on Typepad. Blogger is a great blog platform, and I would still be using it if I didn't have a Typepad account. The Journey of My 4 Dolls was a starting point for me, showing me how much fun sharing about my dolls was. It helped make AmericanGirlFan what it is today! :)

2. Who's your favorite doll (from AG) that you do not own?

Hmm...that's a hard one!! I love Jess, the Girl of the Year 2006, Rebecca, Ruthie, All MAGs with red hair, MAG with curly black hair, freckles, and hazel eyes  and Lanie. I like pretty much like all American Girl dolls though, I wish I had room (and the money) to own them all! ;)

3. What encouraged you to start your Etsy shop, Itsy Bitsy Treats?

My sister Hope was the one who got the idea to own an Etsy Shop. My mom had her own shop which looked really fun. I had started to research clay and how to make Doll Food, and Hope joined me. After making a few items, we tried to come up with a name. We thought up a few different names--ItsyBitsyBakery and CraftySisters, but those were taken. So, we finally thought of ItsyBitsyTreats. Hope makes a lot of the items now, while I'm busy doing my website, and she creates such cute things!!

4. Have there ever been a point in your life in which you didn't like AG dolls anymore?

I don't think I have ever not liked American Girl, but when I was 12 years old I began to feel like I was getting too old to like them. Since AG marks it that way, I started to feel kind of sad, like I had to grow up. But, I pushed the thought away. I'm glad I did too! At 14 I started my website, and I want girls to know that they can enjoy any hobby at any age--even American Girl dolls.

5.  What is your favorite AG outfit which you own currently?

I really love Cecile's dresses, especially her Parlor Outfit! I have some Retired Outfits too that will always be my favorites. I like the Gala Party Outfit from 2006, Mia's Outfits from 2008, Felicity's Tea Lesson Gown, Let it Snow Sleep Set from 2006, Sparkly Tunic and Jeans Outfit from 2006, and tons more!!

Six Months Ago...

I started this blog.
 December 22, 2011.
Okay, I know I'm a day early; but I have packing to do tomorrow.
I never thought it would improve any. It would just always be me, I thought, no followers. But I was so wrong. I  have 20 followers, 2,169 views, and people from USA, France, Australia, and Netherlands have viewed my blog. I'm so thankful!
I also want to thank Becca . Though she was my third follower {I think...}, we've done so much together. We email and we started two blogs together and we sometimes include each other in our posts! So, thank you, Becca. :o)
I'm changing my blog.
Don't get me wrong, I still love dolls! But all through out this half of a year I've really wanted to do some ''life'' posts. Things about stuff I like, about movies I want to review and other stuff. Since this is {was} a doll based blog, I thought it'd be wrong. Awkward. Bad, possibly.
It'll still be mostly about dolls, but I'll change the name and a few other things. I hope you understand; and it'll still be me writing!!!!! :)
On to other things....
My dolls and I want to celebrate with you! WOOT!! You have to wait until Saturday to see the celebration, though. :p

The Doll World Photography

I decided today would be a good day to take photos with my old friend, iPad.
I added my own little signature thingy. I feel so awesome! ;)
This might be the prettiest photo, I think.

She's sleep-hugging the flowers next to her. :)

If you think this hairstyle is pretty I'd be more than happy to do a tutorial on it. It's a bit harder then it looks.... You should see the sides...
(I just noticed now I spelled photography wrong... ;p)
My mom found this today out of the blue. It's from a retired swimsuit outfit from AG.
P.S. What do you think of this?

My Historical Character

Sky McWilliams
She lives in....
1951
Her Story....
Sky McWilliams is an average girl. She's normal, and even popular, in the state of New York. But that changes when she moves to VA. Sky doesn't know anybody, nobody cares to know her, and she lost her house in a fire. How will things ever become normal again for Sky?
Book TWO:
When Sky's birthday comes up, she has decided nobody cares. Nobody can even remember her birthday. There's no house to celebrate in, no presents, and her family is always out looking for a job. But when Sky enters her friend's house, her life changes again. For the better?

Prilla, this is my entry for your contest!!! BTW, I cut out paper and put them together. :)

My wish-list for AG

I have around $140 which I am saving for a big trip to AG. (I don't feel like counting my money right now, sorry.) I want to show you my wish-list! I plan on going there at the end of May, so I likely won't get all I want.

Addy Doll, Book & Accessories

Addy's Birthday Outfit

McKenna's Starter Collection

McKenna's Loft Bed

McKenna's Cast & Crutches

McKenna's Fancy Outfit

McKenna's Dog

McKenna's Pajamas

I think all of these are really cute! I also want to get all of McKenna's Collection, and maybe an extra piece or two. Why? Because I want to sell it for slightly more than I bought it when McKenna retires. If I get more than I payed for, I might try buying an extra Doll Of The Year for 2013!
