Review of Hotel Transylvania // Giveaway Winner

Due to a missed {CO-OP} field trip, my Mom took [brother, brother, me] to the movie theaters to see Hotel Transylvania! Yeah, I saw that.....

Review:

[given] rating: PG

My rating: PG

Summary *may have slight spoilers*: Mavis' {played by Selena Gomez.... I was surprised!} father is too over-protective. He goes to great lengths to make sure she never goes out of their hotel or falls in love. But when a human finds his way into the monster only hotel, Mavis gets zinged {watch the movie, yo}. The human, Jonathan, turns the classic, old-timey hotel into a mon-sta party!

My thoughts: This was a cute movie. I enjoyed it {and this is NOT due to the fact I was munching on the largest smallest bag of pretzel M'n'Ms, or that NOBODY else was in the theater!}. There were no questionable parts {maybe slight kissing and mobs... but other than that....}.
I think Mavis should have had her mother's eyes. She looked too much like her father, Dracula, for my tastes.

Stars: 4 and a half.

Would I suggest it to you? Totally. It's PG, why would I not suggest it to you?

MY EARS ARE SHAPED DIFFERENTLY {view last end of post}

*Possible future thoughts from you and others: ''Woah. She's posting AGAIN?!''

Yeah, well, I know it. And I'm not sorry.  Have you noticed the posts this week have been giveaway posts and a link up?

C'mon, buddy. You can't count that as a post!

So today I'm posting because I feel like it. And I feel the need to write something magical. So whether this post is magical or not, it's up to you.

Random Thought 1:

I haven't posted my own photography for almost forever! I know I'm not too good at that, but that's really not an excuse. :p

Random thought 2:

It's snowing. Yes, snowing. Not at my house, but at Storyteller's house. To quote part of my comment:

''GIRL, I'M GONNA FIND YOU AND MOVE IN RIGHT NEXT TO YOU! {waahahaha}''

Yes, I really said that. I 'twas kidding, be of course.

Random thought 3:

Pinterest. Coffee. Curly hair. Possible dyeing {wash-out dye, of course, unless I really like it. Yeah, me mom says it's my hair and I can do what I want with it {random interruption: I have a friend who dyed her hair blue. Permanently.}}

{all of these photos are from Pinterest unless other stated}

  Whoa... I think my inner-fangirl just had a nerd attack.

{My inner fan-girl DIED!}

it took me a second to get it but i got it!!! XD

{click to make larger} LOL, I got it right away.

i feel like this sometimes...:)

Random thought 4:

I have a Pinterest board called : ''My colors and I shall rule the world''

Random thought 5:

A movie I really want to see is coming out on a special date for me. I can't say why, but I can say I am {most likely, unless anything other comes up} going to see the midnight release of it!

Random thought 6:

I curled my hair today and everybody thought I had gotten it cut, because it bunged up like crazy {my hair goes to my shoulder, but with it curled it went up to my jaw}. One lady thought it was naturally curly and I just straighten it all the time, and that was awesome. She was close to the truth though, because my hair is naturally wavy. =D

Last random thought 7:

Something utterly horrible happened. I swear, I am the only person this has ever happened to.

My ears, the just.....

they just....

they just...

fell off. {LOL, just kidding.}

My ears Really, they just...

they just...

they just...

are misshaped. You might be going oh, that's okay! No it's not. ONE IS SHAPED DIFFERENTLY THAN THE OTHER! Picture proof:

See? See that little elf ear? Click it if you need to see better {sorry for the slightly crazed look on my face}.
My other ear. TOTALLY NOT ELV-ISH!

Cry with me, lampy.

Wenesday Hodgepodge

Hey, all y'all {ha ha}!

1. It's a brand new month...share one thing you're looking forward to in October.

Just one thing? Well... okay. Working on different outfits for Halloween/Halloween based off of events. My family and I go trick-or-treating, but at the AWANA I go to {last year - woot!} we have an event based off of that holiday. It has to be from the Bible, so normally I create different costumes.

2.  Is chivalry dead?  Explain.

I like what Joyce from From This Side of the Pond said. Let me ''quote'' part of it:

''Not dead, but sometimes hard to find in 2012. Our culture is very me-centered these days and rudeness abounds. The word essentially means having the qualities of a knight-courtesy, generosity, and bravery.''

It is hard to find, but I believe you can awaken it by showing it. Show chivalry to everybody {even those who tick you off}, and they will wonder what's inside that person that makes them so kind and wonderful.
I know, it's easier said than done, but still. :)

3.  On October 2, 1950 the Peanuts comic strip made its debut.  Which character is your favorite?  Which character is most like you?  (Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Shroeder, Snoopy, Woodstock, or Pig Pen)  If you need a description click here .

I was Linus. :) {I took a test-thingy!}

4.  What's something you're competitive about?

Drawing. I take pride in all of my art, yes, but I'm better at drawing. So basically it's like: 'If you are good, you may not draw near me. Understood?'
Of course, it's one of my faults I have to work on.

5. October is National Popcorn Popping Month...are you a fan?  How do you like your popcorn?

I didn't know that, cool! Yeah, I am. I like salty popcorn dripping with butter, but I normally only get that at movie theaters. So normally I don't eat popcorn.

6.  When did you first realize the world is small?

I've been to Disney once or twice, and I remember riding the 'It's a Small, small World' ride. I never took that into account, but I always enjoyed the ride to it's fullest instead. Well, sorta. Those dolls creep me out. ;p

Back to place. I think sometimes you can know something, but just not think about it. Like one time I saw a girl I know with her point shoes. She was old enough to have them, and inside I knew she had them, I just never thought about it so it never entered my mind I knew it.

7.  In terms of architecture, what's the most beautiful building you've seen up close and in person?

Hmm... that's pretty hard! I really don't know.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

My knock-off TOMS from Wet Seal arrived today. The quality isn't the best, but I still love 'em. :)
 I got these one and these ones {they were having a sale, and still are!}. If you prefer the real deal {and have stinkin' small feet! The real ones went only up to 8.5 {women's}, and I'm a 9 {and done growing}}, I have an outlet store for you. They have their real TOMS cheap! Here's the link:
 Okay, never mind with that. My computer isn't letting me go to it! I pinned it on my Pinterest board, so I'll give you that link. Then you just click on the picture and view those awesome TOMS. Link:

There we go! Have a happy Wednesday!

Our sponsor for the very first necklace above is Jessie! Jessie's shop currently holds pictures with Bible verses, and cute necklaces! Seriously, I'm getting hungry just looking at them! My favorite part about the first necklace? The bow! Really, it's like putting a mustache on a lollipop necklace. And that would just be awesome.

Anyhow, enter below. I'm assuming the prize is for people who live in the U.S. only, but I'll have to check back on that. I'll post a notification if it's not. If I don't, then it's only U.S. peeps. Sorry. :(

a Rafflecopter giveaway

You may have noticed, one of the entries is ''Do ''A Week of Silence''''. What is that? Glad you asked.

Lately I've been on the computer a lot. It's hurting my head, and wasting a lot of time. Plus, I'm happier when I spend less time on the computer! So I'm challenging you. Yes, you. Can you stay off the computer for a week? I'm not saying totally off. Maybe set a time limit of 30 minutes or a hour of time you can play. Then, get off and wait until the next day.

Yes, I'll be doing it, too. Post about it, and then post when it's done. Talk about how it felt, if you feel better, whatever. I'll also post an award button for those who did it to put on their blogs. :)

If you do do it, please leave a link to this post {It will count as posting about it, another entry!} so others can learn more about it.

If you don't want enter the giveaway, but you want to do A Week of Silence, then feel free! Comment with the link. :)

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Sorry I didn't do one of these last week! I get crazy if I post too much, I'm pretty sure that was the reason.....

1. The Wednesday Hodgepodge this week falls on John Chapman's birth date.  He's more famously known as Johnny Appleseed...what's your favorite variety of apple?

Honey Crisp. They are so good, and my local Farmer's Market even had them early this year!

2.   When did you last say 'ick'?

I don't remember. I'm sure I did just for fun, but I don't really use that word.

3.   Do you think there's a generation gap?  Explain.

I had to look that up {oh, the woes of Madeline}. Searching, searching.....

Hmm... rather {horrible answer, I know}. Fast food is definitely changing the younger generation a lot. Like for example, America's Great Depression. We didn't have enough food then, so most children were pretty thin. Now, we have too much food. It changes us and the things that we have ability to do. {I'm sorry I sounded like a health-nut there. Believe me, I'm not. If I could have a Chick-Fil-A cookie whenever I wanted, I would have thousands of them.}

4.  What's on your computer screen saver?  Do you leave it alone or change it often?

Okay. So this is an odd question for me. Instead of finding a picture on the computer I could use as it, I make my own picture, and not have it fill the screen. Instead I use a pretty coral/sunset orange background. The picture? Actually, it's just some ''quotes''. If you know who says these and from where, I shall love you forever {please do take into notice I won't really ;)}. The quotes? Here they are:

No... Jimmy Protested! {This was found in a book, but said by a famous person.}

Kevin! Is it you?!

5.  If you had the attention of the entire world for two minutes, what would you say?

MAKE ME YOUR LEADER!

6.  Four fashion trends to try this fall are-brocade/jacquard (fancy printed fabrics), peplum, lace, and printed pants...which of these four would you be most likely to wear?

Printed pants. I went all out a few days ago and got {got as in Mom bought it for me ;)} red skinny jeans. Those are the first colored pants I've ever had.

7.  What can make your bad day better?

I could say cookies, ice cream, or possibly the thing that shall not be named, but so far it's Pinterest. That thing is crazy addicting.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Speaking of Pinterest, I've got a yummy and easy treat I've tried before and found on Pinterest:

Thx Dr. Oz: "Peanut Butter & Chocolate--This tasty duo will satisfy even the most voracious sweet tooth. Melt a bar of dark chocolate and mix it into a jar of organic peanut butter. Leave it in the fridge so that it cools and the flavors blend. When a sugar craving strikes, have a spoon. One spoonful has 4.5 grams of sugar. Compare this to your average brownie with a whopping 30 grams of sugar, & you’re well on your way to shaking your sugar habit in healthy ways you never thought possible!"

I don't care about all that ''low fat! almost sugarless!'' nada nada, but it was pretty good. :)
